Alexander Tall is rapidly gaining recognition as one of America’s rising young baritones. He has performed as a featured soloist at the New York City Opera, the Wolf Trap Opera with the National Symphony Orchestra, the New York Festival of Song, the Berkshire Choral Festival, the San Francisco Opera and elsewhere.
With the Curtis Institute of Music, Mr. Tall sang the title role in the Philadelphia premiere of John Adams’ The Death of Klinghoffer, Guglielmo in Così fan tutte, Marco in Gianni Schicchi, and John in Ned Rorem’s Miss Julie.
An active recitalist, Mr. Tall has also appeared in recital in New York, Philadelphia, Boston, St. Louis, as well as France and Portugal.
The recipient of numerous grants and awards, he was recently awarded the Theodor Uppman Award from the William Matheus Sullivan Foundation.
